Dragon Park
This project was designed specifically for Huizenga Park. My goal was to Transport visitors to a new world that is filled with dragons. This project has a main purple dragon upfront on a rock and others flying around the whole space.
To make this project, I used open brush which is an application on oculus where you can draw in a 3d space. I started with a sketch and built off of it with high details and different colors to create different styles of dragons throughout the park.
Casino Project: Jackpot Mirage
This project was design for a fundraising event for Ann Stork, hosted by Hard Rock Seminole. This piece was to be sold on auction to raise money to support a special cause. I wanted to create a piece that connected to the Casino ambiance and feeling. This piece was made to evoke a feeling of winning the jackpot and the excitement of the hard Rock casino.
I made this piece using Open Block and Open brush. In Open block, I sculpted the slot machine and used open brush to design the area around it. I hand sculpted the playing cards and used special brushes to add blinking lights and movement throughout the piece.
PBS Studios: Ancient Temple of Wisdom
This piece was designed for South Florida PBS Studios for their Egyptian exhibition. This piece was used as an educational and decorative part of their exhibit. I wanted to have Hieroglyphics with their meanings included and place the viewer in an ancient temple based on a real temple I saw at the MEtropolitan Museum of Art.
For this project, i used blender, which is a 3d modeling website to create the temple structure and textures. I then transferred that model into open brush where I hand drew all of the hieroglyphics and vines.
Art Therapy: Grand Canyon
For this assignment, I wanted to create a therapeutic experience for vr users. I wanted to be able to transport the viewer to a grand canyon like place with moving water and large structures. The goal was to give the viewer a happy and joyful experience to a new place that i have created.
For this project, I created the entire piece in open brush. I made the larger structures and plants using a 3 dimensional brush and used the animated brushes t create moving water. I adjusted the lighting to make it feel like real life.
3d Modeling: Rango
For this project, I was to create a sculpture of a companion. I wanted to make a well known character from my childhood, so I chose to do Rango. This character is adventurous and a fun character design.
To create this piece, i used Shapelab on the Oculus. I used a reference image of his 2d animation and created a 3d style piece. I started with a ball of clay and added on his limbs and sculpted with a variety of tools and brushes.
Video game Concept Art: Kalfu
For this project, i wanted to design my own video game character. The game concept consists of a voodoo doll cat adventuring through New Orleans and the spirit world on search of his past owner. In the game you play as this purple voodoo doll cat. This cat is purple with black hair and black stitching, with a heart patch on his leg.
This concept art was created on shapelab using a variety of tools and brushes, with attachments of clay to create his limbs and tail. Then I painted him using the brushes using a metallic textured brush.
Final Amusement Park: Rango, Miss Puff, and Kalfu
For this assignment, We had to create a theme park including all of our 3d models. I wanted to create a magical theme park based off Universal studios epic universe. In this world, you have specially designed portals that enter you into the world of that character. The characters include rango, miss puff, and kalfu.
To crate this, i imported all of my models from previous projects from shapelab and placed them into open brush. In open brush, i designed specific portals based off the color scheme and relating items. I used the see through null brush to hide the world that is beyond the portal. Each world was created to match the scheme I would picture them in a film
Rango
Miss Puff
Kalfu
